About Festive Korea 2019
Post Date : 27-08-2019Festive Korea, organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea and the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, has attracted over millions of audience since it was first launched in 2011. In its 9th anniversary, Festive Korea presents the theme of “Kolorful” which refers to the diverse colors of Korean culture. Outstanding performing groups and top artists from Korea will present “Kolorful” programs to the Hong Kong audience. This year’s Festive Korea highlights a rich variety of cultural programs including “21st Century Korean Music Project: New Generation Gugak Concert” where talented young Gugak musicians will deliver a new interpretation of traditional music with contemporary sense; as well as traditional music and dance performances “The Sounds of Korea” performed by the Busan National Gugak Center. Apart from music events, we are also glad to present a wide array of programs such as special cooking classes led by Food Grand Masters, Buddhist Culture Experience Week, exhibitions, K-film screening event, Taekwondo competition and more. Festive Korea heightens the appreciation and enjoyment of Korean arts and culture by presenting an impressive cultural feast to the Hong Kong audience. .
