The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong participated in the 2022 Hong Kong Book Fair (July 20-26), showcasing over 100 Korean picture books and literature in our booth, Korea Pavilion. Two cultural performances including "Korean Picture Books: Fantasy in Everyday Life" seminar and Taekwondo Performance were presented to the book fair visitor. 

This year, Korean Cultural Center invited Ms.Kyung Hyewon, Korean author-illustrator to Hong Kong. She is working actively as a author-illustrator in Korea. Her works includes ‘Bigger Than You’, ‘Just a Bit’, ‘Elevator’, and ‘Special Friends’ and so on. One of her books – ‘ Dinosaur X-Ray’, was chosen as one of the 10 good books at the ‘18th Primary School Students Books Chart’ in Hong Kong in 2021. She visited Korea Pavilion and had an autograph session, followed by a Korean picture book seminar at the Hall Concourse on July 23.

Korea Pavilion was co-hosted by the Consulate General of South Korea in Hong Kong, Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong, and was supporter by the Publication Industry Promotion Agency Of Korea and the Korea Tourism Organization, Hong Kong Office.  Participants enjoyed the exhibition by reading Korean books, playing traditional games, and attending cultural performances.
