Important Notes

1) During registration, you can select 2 courses (first choice and second choice), but you will only be accepted into one course at most. KCCHK will prioritize enrolling students who have completed the designated level at King Sejong Institute, KCCHK.

2) This semester (from January 9 to February 11), a 5-week special course will be offered. Before applying for the courses, please read the course schedule and descriptions carefully. Class schedules will be sent separately to students who successfully enroll in the course.

3) The courses offered during the winter special semester are special courses and will not provide a completion certificate. There is no need to purchase textbooks for this semester's courses.

4) Successful applicants will be notified via email. We apologize for not being able to notify those who were not successful individually.

5) Students are not allowed to change courses or class times unless approved by the instructor.

6) Only individuals aged 18 or above are eligible to apply for the courses.

7) Students who successfully enroll but have an attendance rate of less than 70% will not be given priority when applying for the spring and summer special courses in 2026.

8) All courses are 100% in-person and will take place in KCCHK's classroom.

9) Unless otherwise specified, classes will primarily be conducted in Korean.

10) A deposit of HKD 500 will be collected from each student during the first class, which will be refunded at the end of the course if the attendance rate is 80% or higher.

Frequently-asked Questions

1) Q: Are the classes free of charge?

A: Yes, all classes are free of charge.

2) Q: What qualifies as proof?

A: Certificate issued by King Sejong Institute and KCCHK; valid TOPIK score report; certificates issued by other institutions within the last 2 years; and the online level test results.

3) Q:  I have learned Korean before. Can I join the classes offered by KCCHK?

A: Sure，as long as you can provide proof (refer to Q2). If you have no proof, please take the online level test.

4）Q: I have applied many times; why did I still fail?

A: Firstly, make sure that you meet the qualificationㄴ. Application without proof will NOT be considered. If there are too many applicants with valid proof, attendees will be selected randomly.

5) Q: I have never learned Korean before, am I eligible for any courses this semester?

A: This is a special semester, so beginner courses are not offered. If you would like to learn Korean from the beginning, please stay tuned for our 2025 Autumn Semester Korean classes (Applications open in 2025 Aug)

【ONLINE LEVEL TEST】

- The purpose of this online test is to ensure that King Sejong Institute students are able to be placed in the correct Korean class that matches their Korean level.

- There are Beginning and Intermediate tests composed of listening and reading portions, respectively.

How to take the online level test? （only available in ENG/KOREAN）

3) Save your test results as a png/jpg/pdf file and upload them to Google form
