Important Notices

1) Applicant can choose 2 classes (first choice & second choice) in google form, but will admitted to ONE CLASS ONLY. 
2) This is a summer special semester, and special courses instead of regular courses will be offered. Certificates will NOT be provided.
3) Textbook is NOT necessary for this semester.
4) Application deadline is on JUNE 24 HKT 09:00.
5) Attendees will be notified via email. We are sorry for being unable to notify all applicants.
6) Students cannot change classes unless they get the teacher’s approval.
7) Only accept applicants aged 18 years or above.
8) Students who cannot maintain attendance of 70% or above will not have priority to register for KCCHK's Korean language classes offered in the 2024 Autumn Semester. 
9) All classes are 100% OFFLINE and will be conducted in KCCHK's lecture room.
10) Courses are conducted in Korean unless otherwise specified. English may be used in introductory and elementary courses. 

11) $500 HKD deposit will be received on the first day of class, and will be returned to participants who fulfilled 80% or above attendance at the end of the semester.

Frequently-asked Questions

1) Q: Are the classes free of charge?

A: Yes, all classes are free of charge.

2) Q: What is “proof”?

A: Certificate issued by King Sejong Institute and KCCHK; valid TOPIK score report; certificates issued by other institutions within the last 2 years; and the online level test results.

3) Q:  I have learned Korean before. Can I join the classes offered by KCCHK?

A: Sure，as long as you can provide proof (refer to Q2) . If you have no proof, please take the online level test.

4）Q: I have applied many times; why did I still fail?

A: Firstly, make sure that you meet the qualification. Application without proof will NOT be considered. If too many applicants who provided valid proof applied for the same course, attendees will be selected by random draw.

5) Q: I have never learnt Korean before, am I eligible for any courses this semester?

A: This is a special semester, so we do not offer beginner courses.. If you would like to learn Korean from the beginning, please stay tuned to our 2024 Autumn Semester Korean classes (Application opens in 2024 Aug)

【ONLINE LEVEL TEST】

- The purpose of this online test is to ensure that King Sejong Institute students are able to be placed in the correct Korean class that matches their Korean level.

- There is a Beginning and Intermediate test composed of listening and reading portions, respectively.

How to do online level test? （only available in ENG/KOREAN）

1) Register as a member of the Online King Sejong Institute *refer to Manual*

2) Take online level test *refer to Manual*

3) Save your test results as a png/jpg/pdf file and upload them to Google form

4) Please choose a class that matches your Korean level!
