Korean traditional knot has a characteristic of being front-back and left-right symmetrical. Also, no matter how complicated the knot is, it starts from the center and ends at the center as well. So, to un-tie, it has to be performed in a completely reverse order. You will not only be amazed by its beauty, but also the complicated hidden maths and science characteristic of the handcraft. 

CHOI Min-jeong, a Korean traditional knot artist, believes that it is important to inherit tradition in craft arts, while the addition of trendy elements can attract people nowadays to get to know more about traditional crafts.

Come and join her class that showcases the essence of Korean traditional handicraft accessory, in where CHOI will deliver how to make a traditional knot accessory ‘Jang Myeong Ru’

韓國傳統繩結前後、左右對稱，皆由中間起綁、中間收結。若要解結，按步驟倒轉解結即可。繩結技藝不僅是美學的表現，背後更蘊含複雜的科學原理。

韓國傳統繩結老師 CHOI Min-jeong 認為，手工技藝要承傳傳統，須加入一些流行元素，才可讓現代人更容易接觸到傳統技藝。

工作坊上，老師會展示如何製作韓國傳統繩結「長命縷」，讓參加者感受韓國傳統手工技藝的精湛之處。
