K-POP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL IN HONG KONG 2024

The annual and biggest K-POP cover dance event is coming back!

This year, KCC is co-hosting the K-POP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL IN HONG KONG with the Korean Consul General in Hong Kong and The Seoul Shinmun Daily. If you are an expert of K-POP COVER DANCE, take the opportunity to participate in this annual event! The champion team will be able to travel to Seoul in September to compete in the global finals, with all expenses paid!

Finalist annoucement:on or before 19th July

Final stage in Hong Kong:10th August 15:00, Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Global final(Seoul):End of Sep

Judgment and Selection criteria/

No. of video hits (30%) + No. of recommendation votes (20%) combined with the expert evaluation score (50%). Approximately 20 teams will be chosen in each region to proceed onto Final Round in HK.

/FAQ/*PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU ASK*

1. Can I upload more than 1 video?

Yes you can. You can upload up to 12 videos for 1 account. 

2. Is there any restrictions in the length of the video?

Yes. Please adjust your video within 4:30

3. Can I remix more than 1 songs in one video?

Yes you can. 

4. Does the video need to be a new recording?

No, you can use a video that you have previously uploaded to YouTube. 

5. Do I need to perform on the same song if my team is selected to the final round ?

No, you can perform on a different song.

6. Can I add effects/edits to the video?

Yes, you can. 

7. Is there a limit to where the video can be shot?

No. You can shot in any places. 

8. Does the video need to be shot from a fixed and single angle?

No you don't need to do so. 

9. If my team is selected for the final, do the same people need to be in the final as those in the video?

Yes, the participants in the final round must be the same people as those shown in the video. If any individuals are absent, their spots cannot be filled by other people. The number of final participants must be at least 70% of the number of participants shown in the preliminary round video. If the final participant count is less than 70% of the participants in the video or if any replacements are made, the team will be disqualified immediately.

10. When filling out the google form, if I upload more than one video, do I need to paste the links of all videos?

Yes. If each video has different participants, please fill in the details of all the people who have participated in your all of your video. If your team is selected as a finalist, the team representative will be contacted again to confirm.

11. If I am not Hong Kong ID card holder, can I still join the competition in Hong Kong?

Yes you can. But the organisers have the right to deny you to represent Hong Kong at the Global Finals because of your status.

12. Can I participate in the competition for more than 1 team?

Yes you can. There is no limitation in the preliminary round, which means you can particiapte in videos submiited by multiple teams without limitation. However in the final round, one individual can only participate in a maximum of 2 teams.
