K-POP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL in HONG KONG 2026 | Online Preliminary Round

The highly anticipated grand event in the K-POP dance world is back again this summer holiday, and everyone’s eagerly waiting to see it!
All you K-POP dancers out there — are you ready?!!
Co-hosted by KCCHK and The Seoul Shinmun Daily, co-presented by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the 《K-POP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL IN HONG KONG》 is now accepting registrations from participating teams.
If you usually form teams to perform K-POP cover dances and want to challenge for the best in Hong Kong — or even the world — this is a golden opportunity you definitely shouldn’t miss to compete and exchange skills with fellow enthusiasts!
The team that wins 1st place in the Hong Kong regional finals will earn the chance to head to Seoul in October to participate in the global finals, representing Hong Kong to compete against top teams from countries and regions around the world for the overall championship 👑 — and all expenses will be fully covered!

Finalist announcement:on or before 22nd June via registered email
Final stage in Hong Kong:1st August 14:30, Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Global final(Seoul):October (TBC)

/Judgment and Selection criteria/
No. of video hits (30%) + No. of recommendation votes (20%) combined with the expert evaluation score (50%). Approximately 20 teams will be chosen in each region to proceed onto Final Round in HK.

2. fill in the form

3. After registration, upload your video on YouTube, copy the url link

4. go back to coverdance.org,choose 'ROUND 1- Registration' and fill in the form

/FAQ/*PLEASE READ CAREFULLY*
1. Can each account upload more than one video?
Yes. Each account can upload up to 12 videos. If you want to submit more than 12 videos, you will need to register a new account.
2. Is there a length limit for the videos?
Yes. Please keep each video within 4 minutes and 30 seconds (4:30).
3. Can different songs be mixed together in the same video?
Yes. There is no limit on how many songs you can include in one video.
4. Does the video have to be newly recorded?
No. You are allowed to use videos that were previously uploaded to YouTube.
5. If my team advances to the finals, can we change the song?
Yes, you can.
6. Can we add effects / editing to the video?
Yes, editing and effects are allowed.
7. Is there any restriction on the filming location?
No. You can film anywhere.
8. Does the video need to be shot from a fixed, single angle?
No, it does not.
9. If my team is selected for the finals, do the participants in the finals need to be exactly the same as those in the video?
Yes — both the number of people and their identities must be exactly the same.
If any participant is absent, no one else can substitute or fill that person's spot.
The total number of participants who actually take part in the finals must be at least 70% of the number of people who appeared in the submitted video. If this 70% requirement is not met, the team will be disqualified.
If it is discovered that the people appearing / performing in the finals are not the same individuals as those in the video, the team will be immediately disqualified.
10. Can I participate without a Hong Kong ID card?
Yes, you can participate.
However, if your team wins first place in the Hong Kong regional finals, the organizer reserves the right to refuse you the opportunity to represent Hong Kong at the global finals in Seoul due to your identity / nationality status.
11. Can I participate in more than one team?
Yes.
During the preliminary round, you can appear in as many team videos as you want — there is no limit.
However, during the finals stage, each person can only participate in a maximum of two teams.

Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong and Seoul Shinmun Daily holds the final decision regarding the operation of the contest without further notice.
