01-12-2023 | 73 Hit

Seeing the Korean Minhwa (folk painting) talk event held by KCC before, the Macau government contacted KCC and expressed their hope to introduce Korean folk paintings to Macau locals.  KCC invited Lee Young-ae, a Korean Minhwa artist who works as a reporter for "Art Minhwa", to give a Minhwa talk in Macau.

During the talk, Ms Lee introduced Minhwa by type and explained the emotions of Korean reflected in paintings and their meanings. Painting tools such as Korean paper and pigments were also introduced. She showed and explained the works of artists from Joseon Dynasty such as Kim Hong-do, Shin Yun-bok, and Shin Saimdang as well. At the end, she introduced the hidden Minhwa in our daily life (e.g. drama, Korean banknote, etc.).
