[Exhibition] "Raon & Destiny" Minhwa Exhibiton

Minhwa, which is Korean folk painting, literally means "paintings of the people". It is a popular Korea painting form from the 17th century to the late Joseon Dynasty.
Minhwa is a kind of popular practical painting, which is characterized by the repetition and practicality of the same theme, non-creativity and the connection between living custom. As its name suggests, folk paintings have no restrictions on the identity of the painter. Painters express their hopes and blessings for life, including peace and child-seeking, which fully embodies the innocence, simplicity of the people.
This exhibition is the first member exhibition of RAON Hong Kong, a Minhwa studio in Hong Kong. The 25 paintings exhibited are painted by 19 member artists of different nationalities.
