Symbol of love, loyalty and luck
同心結(동심결)有「永結同心」、「相親相愛」的意思,親手製作一個送給所愛之人吧!

Dongsimgyeol knot, also known as the "binding two hearts forever" knot is used to be worn as a symbol of love, loyalty and luck. Korean traditional knot craftmaker Ms. Kim Younjung will guide us how to make a Dongsimgyeol knot keyring!

「我主要的作品是紙版畫,繪畫時使用油畫棒和蠟筆。[…] 雖然是版畫技巧,但因為經刻劃、撕扯、再塗貼等製作而成,所以這種版畫技巧的表現力也生動如畫。」

“I work mostly with paper prints and drawings done with oil sticks or crayons. […] This makes collagraphs a genre of print art that is very painting-like, because you can scrape away or tear the paper or apply multiple layers.”

一年一度的韓服文化週將於4月9至18日舉行!由韓國文化體育觀光部及韓國工藝設計振興院舉辦,韓服文化週自2018年舉行以來致力向大眾推廣傳統服裝。今年的韓服展覽"Kpop X Hanbok"以BTS等韓流明星穿過的韓服為主題,更設有多個工作坊及講座。活動期間,身穿韓服到指定戲院更可免費睇戲!

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Korea and the Korea Craft&Design Foundation is presenting a Hanbok Culture Week from 9 to 18 April, 2021. The event has been held annually since 2018 to introduce and promote hanbok, the traditional Korean costume. Exhibition titled “Kpop X Hanbok” which displays hanbok worn by Kpop stars, including BTS, and also hanbok related workshops and classes will be provided. Participants could enjoy free movies if they visit the hanbok-themed theaters wearing hanbok.
Exhibition explores artists' life of balancing art, livelihood
在藝術與生活之間追求平衡,往往是藝術家成名前的必經課題。水原市立公園美術館(SUMA)的Art Space Gwanggyo正舉辦"The Right Way to Be Right Now",展出5位生於80年代的藝術家的作品及反映兒時生活的的影像檔案。他們對藝術家的身份進行了近十年的探索,現正站在事業上的重要十字路口。

Striking a balance between art and livelihood is a lingering issue for people seeking a career in the arts until they establish a solid reputation. The Suwon Museum of Art (SUMA) exhibition "The Right Way to Be Right Now" at Art Space Gwanggyo features the works of five creators born in the 1980s, who have pondered what it means to live as an artist for nearly a decade and now stand at a critical crossroads in their careers, along with the visual archives of their livelihoods.
Interview with Haegue YANG by Art Asia Pacific
梁慧圭出生於1971年,現居住及工作於柏林和首爾,是位自90年代起活躍於國際舞台的韓裔當代藝術家。Art Asia Pacific特約編輯HG Masters專訪中,梁慧圭談及她於國立現代藝術館的"O2 and H2O"及馬尼拉當代藝術設計博物館的"Cone of Concern"展覽,說明她使用的視覺及音訊素材。

Haegue YANG (b.1971, based in Seoul and Berlin) has been acclaimed as one of the most influential artists in contemporary international art scene since the mid-1990s. YANG interviewed with deputy editor of Art Asia Pacific, HG Masters about the visual and audio components of her exhibition “O2 and H2O” at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), Seoul, and “Cone of Concern,” at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD), Manila.

吳懷世近年於國際樂壇獲獎無數,更被任為首爾愛樂史上最年輕的指揮。他將與樂團攜手演繹亨德密特及布拉赫的兩首二十世紀作曲家交響鉅作,並將與韓國鋼琴家林東赫合作演繹史克里亞賓鋼琴協奏曲。

Making history as the youngest conductor appointed by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO), multiple competition prizewinner Wilson Ng will illustrate his electrifying interpretation of twentieth century repertoire in two virtuosic orchestral showpieces by Hindemith and Blacher. The concert also features International Chopin Competition laureate Dong-Hyek Lim in Scriabin’s Piano Concerto.
Centuries-old Korean bronzeware, Yugi
鍮器(유기)是以人工親手鑄造而成的韓國傳統高級餐具,在過去是用於盛裝韓國皇室宮廷膳食的器具,現在則常用於外國高級官員和首腦訪韓時的重要用餐場合中。鍮器具優良的保暖降溫效果,亦能抗菌,因此餐點能長時間保持新鮮,非常適合COVID-19疫情時代。

Yugi (유기), also known as Bangjja (방짜) is a Korean traditional tableware used in royal court cuisine in the past, and it is now often appeared on important dinner tables when high-level officials and foreign heads of state visit to Korea. Hong Su-kyung, CEO of Yugi manufacturer Ugiu, said, "Yugi is antiseptic, which makes its dishes suitable for the COVID-19 era and eco-friendly in sharing history with humankind."
