Have you ever experienced strolling around the Gyeongbokgung Palace or the vibrant streets of Seoul while adorned in an elegant hanbok? Now, this unique experience is not limited to Korea! The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong is launching a hanbok rental service, allowing participants to dress in traditional hanbok and take memorable photos while strolling through Central, Sheung Wan, and the surrounding areas.

Important Notes

• ◆No Reservations: Only walk-ins are accepted. (Starting on DEC 6!)

• ◆Limited Slots: There are limited slots available in both morning and afternoon sessions. Slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The morning session starts accepting entries at 10:15 AM, and the afternoon session starts at 2:15 PM.

• ◆Rental Time: The two-hour rental period starts counting from the time you leave the hanbok rental room after putting on hanbok. This does not include the time spent selecting or changing into hanbok, choosing accessories, or changing back into your original clothes.

• ◆ID Copy: KCC’s staff will make a copy of the identification document for all renters aged 18 and above. Renters under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian, who will provide their identification document for registration. All personal information will be used for record-keeping purposes only, and the copies of relevant identification will be destroyed within one month.

• ◆Agreement: The renter (representative) must complete an agreement when borrowing the hanbok. If they do not agree to all the terms in the agreement, KCC will be unable to provide the rental. (If payment has already been made, KCC will arrange for a refund.)

• ◆Payment: Fees (deposit and rental fee) can only be paid online via art-mate. If there are no issues like damage or stains upon return, the deposit will be fully refunded to the original payment method in the middle/ at the end of the month by art-mate. Participants in the first two weeks will receive refunds in the middle of the month, while participants in the third and fourth weeks will receive refunds at the end of the month. The refund processing time may vary depending on the bank.

• ◆No Refund for Early Returns: If you return the hanbok before the rental time ends, no refund will be given for the remaining time.

• ◆Weather Policy: The hanbok rental service will be paused in case of rain or severe weather without prior notice.
