1. Eligibility

Hong Kong residents (HKID card holder) *not necessarily to be permanent resident

2. Category 

• 1)T-Shirt

• 2)Eco-Bag

* You can participate in both “T-Shirt” and “Eco-Bag” session. Only ONE entry allowed for one category.

* Individual/ team (max. of 4) participation is allowed.

Theme: Hangeul Around Us (Hangeul should be the key visual!)

3. Schedule

- Application period: 4 JUL - 4 SEP 2022

- Announcement of selected works for exhibition: 19 SEP 2022

- Exhibition of selected works and public voting: 27 SEP - 8 OCT 2022

- Awards Ceremony: 8 OCT 2022

* The event will be held offline, details to be announced later

* The event is subject to change according to the latest social distancing guideline
* Awardees MUST attend  

4. How to Apply

Submit to koreanlanguage@kcchk.kr  with the subject line: [Hangeul Design Competition 2022: T-Shirt/ Eco-Bag (English Full Name)]  

*Only the name of the representative shall be included for team application

*If you participate in both categories, you may send them altogether 

Documents required and file format:  

• 1)Completed Application Form

• 2)Participating Work (only accept AI/ PSD/JPG/PNG, 300dpi or above)
  * MUST use the design file provided by KCC
  * KCC will contact the prize winners for graphic file(s) if one’s design is chosen for product production.

5. Awards Details

* The number of winners and awards are subject to change according to the number of entries in each category.

* Popularity prizes will be decided by online voting.  Design with the most votes (number of “likes”) win the Popularity Prizes (5 works from each session).

6. Standards for screening

Based on but not limited to

- Creativity and Originality

- Design’s appearance and attractiveness

- Relavity to theme  

- Well use of Hangeul as the key visual

7. Terms and Conditions

* Details can be checked in application form

* In case of any inconsistency between the English version and Chinese version, the English version will prevail.

- Applicants must ensure that the information provided is true when submitting the application form.

- Applicants confirm that all works submitted are original and will be created entirely themselves. Applicants also confirm that their designs have not yet been seen in public.

- Applicants consents to the use of design of award-winning work for non-profit making purpose including promotion activities, exhibitions, production and distribution of production by the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong and Yang Won Sun Foundation.

- By taking part in the competition, applicants grant the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong full rights to use the submitted work for exhibition at the center. Only works selected by judges will be exhibited, and the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong will contact the applicants of selected works individually.

- Applicants understand that the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong reserves the right to limit, refuse or withdraw any applicant at any stage of the competition if they are found to have violated any of the terms and conditions of entry listed herein.

- Applicants’ all personal information will be used solely for the purposes of the competition unless otherwise agreed in advance with the applicant.

- Applicants understand that the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong reserves the right to change or cancel the scheduled date(s) and the prize(s).
