[The Opening Reception] KITSCH & POP: Korean Pop Art Now (2 Oct, 6-8 pm) 

Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong invites you to the opening reception of “KITSCH & POP: Korean Pop Art Now”, co-organized by the Seoul Museum of Art and the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong. 

Following its presentation in Shanghai and traveling to Hong Kong, the exhibition brings together works by two generations of artists. Featured prominently are younger artists active in the post-internet era since the 2010s, including Sunpil Don, Mirim Chu, Sangho Noh, Raejung Sim, Sungsil Ryu, and Jeongsu Woo, alongside Kyoung Tack Hong, Donghyun Son, MeeNa Park, and Shinhye Kim, who began exploring Korean Pop Art in the early 2000s. This intergenerational dialogue highlights how the visual language of Pop has been reinterpreted and expanded in a Korean context.

【展覽開幕酒會】《媚俗與波普 : 韓式波普藝術的現狀》（10月2日 下午6-8時）

駐香港韓國文化院誠邀您參加由首爾市立美術館與駐香港韓國文化院共同主辦《媚俗與波普 : 韓式波普藝術的現狀》的展覽開幕酒會。展覽繼上海站後移師香港，配合海外韓國文化院的展覽空間，重點呈現兩組藝術家的創作對話： 一方面聚焦2010年之後「後互聯網時代」的韓國新晉藝術家頓善弼、秋美林、盧尚號、 沈來廷、柳誠實、禹廷秀的作品，另一方面將其與2000年代中前期奠定韓式波普藝術脈絡的代表人物洪京澤、孫東鉉、樸美娜、金信惠的創作相結合交織呈現。這場跨世代的對話突顯了流行藝術的視覺語言如何在韓國語境中被重新詮釋並加以延伸。

【Festive Korea 2025】Korean Cultural Public Lecture Series

The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong will host a series of public lectures on Korean culture from October to November, aimed at enhancing public understanding and awareness of Korean culture. This lecture series will invite speakers from both Korea and Hong Kong, covering various topics related to K-philosophy, K-language, K-film, K-food, K-heritage, K-art and K-Pop.

Each talk will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with experts, ask questions, and gain insights into the unique aspects of Korean culture. These talks welcome anyone interested in exploring Korea, regardless of whether you are a longtime enthusiast or just beginning to learn about its culture. Don’t miss out!

KCCHK New Project - Experience Traditional Korean Games!

Starting today, everyone can visit the 6th floor of KCCHK to experience various traditional Korean games including "ddakji-chigi, gonggi-nori, and Yut-nori! Upload your experience on social media, tag @kcchongkong, and include the #KCCHK_KGAME hashtag to redeem a set of traditional Korean games. Daily slots are limited, available while supplies last! Hurry to KCCHK to experience the most popular Korean games.

Opening Dates and Times: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (excluding public holidays).

*Korean traditional games are only allowed to be used within the designated experience area. Please use them carefully to avoid disturbing others or damaging KCCHK’s facilities. Children need to be supervised by adults when using the game equipment.

📚 Great news! Library room at KCCHK reopens finally! We have curated works from several renowned contemporary Korean authors, including but not limited to Han Kang, Kim Youngha, Ra Taejoo, Eun Heekyung, Pyun Hyeyoung, Noh Heekyung, Jeong Jia, Gong Jiyoung, Cho Namjoo, and Kim Hoyeon, along with their representative works available in Korean, Chinese and English translations.

KCCHK will continue to promote Korean literature to Hong Kong readers. If you have any other author or Korean literary work recommendations, feel free to leave a comment and share with us!

一年一度的 K-Pop 慶典再次與大家相聚！你準備好投入一場難忘的 K-Pop 派對了嗎？  

香港K-Pop愛好者芸芸，K-Pop Community Festival 為一眾才華橫溢的K-Pop 表演者和團隊提供了展現舞技和自身魅力的機會，讓他們在舞台上大放異彩。與此同時，公眾亦可作為觀眾參與，聚首一堂感受 K-Pop舞蹈和音樂帶來的無窮樂趣。  

今年的主題為「K-Pop新世代」，表演團體將為觀眾表演2020年代的K-Pop作品，讓您感受新一代K-Pop的活力與魅力！除了13對本地K-POP 翻跳隊伍外，文化院更特別邀請了香港韓人跆拳道協會作為開場表演嘉賓，展現融合 K-Pop和跆拳道元素的「跆拳舞」，另有來自澳門，榮獲 “2025 K-POP Power Dance Cover Competition in MACAU” 比賽冠軍的隊伍「XD」、來自Engage東華三院越齡的Young-Old舞團、以及PRODANCE舞蹈學校的小童隊伍特別表演嘉賓，展現令您耳目一新的K-POP新面貌！ 

門票將於9月15日(星期一)下午三時透過Artmate網站開放登記，記得不要錯過啦! 

The annual K-Pop festival is back! Are you ready to dive into an unforgettable K-Pop party?  

There are numerous K-Pop enthusiasts in Hong Kong. The K-Pop Community Festival provides a vibrant stage for talented performers and teams to showcase their skills and charm. Meanwhile, the public can come together as an audience to experience the endless joy brought by K-Pop dances and music.  

This year's theme is "The New Generation of K-Pop," featuring performances of K-Pop songs released in the 2020s, allowing you to feel the vibrancy and allure of this exciting new era! In addition to 13 local K-Pop dance cover teams, KCCHK has specially invited the Korean Taekwondo Association in Hong Kong as the opening performance guest, showcasing a "Taekwon Dance" performance that beautifully blends K-Pop and Taekwondo elements. Additionally, the champion team of the “2025 K-POP Power Dance Cover Competition in MACAU,” "XD," a senior dance group from TWGHs Engage, and a children's team from PRODANCE Dance School will perform as special guest performers, presenting a fresh and exciting new face of K-Pop! 

Tickets will be available for registration through the Artmate website starting at 3 PM on September 15 (Monday). Don’t miss out!
